Too bad I can’t be a web jedi. That’s the superhero for me! Just imagine, enforcing web standards. (Boy does thesuperheroquiz.com need some help with their code!) Applying microformats and creating new mashups seemingly at-will.
Evan looks at the XHTML validation of 100 web sites by “Alpha Geeks.” We by no means qualify as part of that elite group, but you should know that ecrosstexas does not pass mustard either.
P.S. Evan actually looks at 119 sites with 118 failing.
If we ever get around to spending some time on this site, we can get there!
Many sites are being redesigned with adherence to web standards — ESPN, Wired, Fast Company, AlltheWeb all come to mind. As Zeldman says, web standards are forward compatible and help ensure that your web site is not obsolete.
Why on earth has Search Engine Watch redesigned with table and font tags? Not to mention that the new site is so much busier than the old one.
