Matt Drudge has a link to abc13.com: Saddam’s execution cited in boy’s accidental hanging death

Police and family members said a 10-year-old boy who died by hanging himself from a bunk bed was apparently mimicking the execution of former Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein.

Sergio Pelico was found dead Sunday in his apartment bedroom in the Houston-area city of Webster, said Webster police Lt. Tom Claunch. Pelico’s mother told police he had previously watched a news report on Saddam’s death.

The wire story goes on to note that Police investigators learned that Sergio had been upset about not getting a Christmas gift from his father, but they don’t believe the boy intentionally killed himself.

I hope that this tragedy was an accident and that this little boy didn’t believe he was bad and deserved to die.

Jesus Christ gave His life as the ultimate Christmas gift from our Heavenly Father. Do you know Him?

Girl, 11, was driving 18-wheeler that crashed

HOWE, Texas — An 11-year-old girl was apparently the driver of a tractor-trailer rig loaded with automobile parts that crashed into a highway overpass guardrail, burst into flames and fell onto the road below, police said Thursday.

What a tragedy. Regardless of fatigue or health problems, dad should have parked the semi!!! Why do so many drivers continue to push on despite all common sense?

Thank goodness the LORD claimed them all together.
