X-Files Sequel

Several people have e-mailed to ask about reports that the second “X-Files” feature is finally in the works. A script is indeed in development, but I’m afraid that’s all I can say. Thanks for your good wishes and support all these years. — Frank Spotnitz

Shannon and I will be there opening day if and when another X-Files movie finally comes out!

From everything I've read, i feel like it will be very hard to have a second x-files movie that has gillian anderson playing her role as dana scully.
