Drudge has a link up saying MAG CLAIMS: CHENEY EXPECTED TO RETIRE AFTER MIDTERM ELECTIONS…
Vice President Dick Cheney is expected to retire within a year.
Senior GOP sources envision the retirement of Mr. Cheney in 2007, months after the congressional elections. The sources said Mr. Cheney would be persuaded to step down as he becomes an increasing political liability to President Bush.
The sources reported a growing rift between the president and vice president as well as their staffs. They cited Mr. Cheney’s failure to immediately tell the president of the accidental shooting of the vice president’s hunting colleague earlier this month. The White House didn’t learn of the incident until 18 hours later.
I think talk of Cheney’s retirement should have been in motion long ago. Retire and enjoy a lot more hunting!
Bush theatens to veto any attempt to stop him! (thanks Drudge.)
“After careful review by our government, I believe the transaction ought to go forward,” Bush told reporters who had traveled with him on Air Force One to Washington. “I want those who are questioning it to step up and explain why all of a sudden a Middle Eastern company is held to a different standard than a Great British company.
As any reader of my blog knows, I have been a huge supporter of President Bush. That said, this deal to give control of 6 US Ports to a company from Dubai is completely unacceptable. Nothing matters more than our national security. I do not want any foreigners defending America on American soil. How can we defend our borders and wage a war on terror while our “friends” give the terrorists an easy route into the US?
Ever Google yourself? You probably should to see what is out there. As of today (February 20, 2006), the listing for the texas blog is 6th under “eric wallace“.
ericwallace.org is no where to be found, so I need to work on that!
Last Friday I received a Juror Questionnaire from Collin County. The Questionnaire has a Scantron that must be completed and returned. I was excited to see they also provide an online Questionnaire. Unfortunately, the system looks to be down.
Juror Questionnaires
NOTE TO JURORS: For individuals who have received a Jury Summons, the online system for completing the corresponding Juror Questionnaire is not currently available. Please complete and mail the paper questionnaire in the provided postage-paid return envelope.
