Furloughed!

This is turning out to be some Labor Day weekend. MLB settles their labor dispute and I just got told that I am being furloughed. What a shock! Being told “you are a great employee, but we just can’t afford you any more. We are losing too much money.” My employer says they will offer whatever support they can for me to find a new job. I have never been in this position before. What rights do I have? What obligations does my employer have?
